I have an obsession...

... and its name is Cheeto.

I remember it like it was yesterday -- sitting in the car with my brother, headed to a friend's house to watch the season premiere of the final season of LOST. Brother wanted to stop and grab a snack, so he ran into the corner market and came out with two diet Pepsis and a bag of cheddar jalapeno Cheetos. Normally, I'm not a fan of jalapenos. Not because they are too hot, but because I'm a big texture person and for some reason, I don't like how they feel in my mouth (twss).

In this instance, though, I was hungry and the bro kept telling me how great they are. So, I tried one. And then died and went to Cheeto heaven. I have now banned cheddar jalapeno Cheetos from my house. I will buy a bag and eat the whole thing in one sitting. They are that delicious. And no, it is not possible to eat one serving. I've tried and failed.

Recently, I was at Sam's Club with BFF and as we meandered through the aisles, I saw the box of single serving chips (remember those? What you'd get in your lunch box?) and there was a variety pack of Flaming Hot Cheetos, Cheddar Jalapeno, Spicy Ruffles and one other kind of chip. As I went to put the box in the cart, I realized the only ones I would eat would be the Cheddar Jalapeno Cheetos, and I'd have to figure out a way to hide them from my brother who would also only eat those. I could open the box and leave them in the car to take to work, I could hide them on the waaaay top shelf of the pantry, or I could suck it up and share. I ultimately decided not to buy them. Mostly because I didn't want to share. This is an obsession I am not sure I can get over. It is also one that can -- and just might -- derail my weight loss.

What kinds of snack foods are you obsessed with? Can you have them in your house?
